The Summerlands is one of the Five Great Lands of Mystos. House Thoren (Ashmire) holds the title of the Lord Protector of the Summerlands.
Geography[]
There are three rivers in the Summerlands. The longest river is the Sunahiri River named after King Sunahiri Thoren, the Sun King. The other two rivers are named after King Sunahiri's children, Ramesh and Indra. The most western river is River Ramesh. River Ramesh is the main river people travel from Ihphy's Archipelago. Indra River flows through the Summerlands starting at the River Ramesh and ending at the Sunahiri River. Summer Shores, Migrant's Bay, and Brother's Cove are bodies of water that touch the Summerlands.
The Great Forest ends west of River Ramesh. East of River Ramesh, south of Indra River, and west of Sunahiri River is the Moonlight Jungle, known for its silver-leaf jungle trees. The Black Lake is located in the Moonlight Jungle. In the eastern region bordering the Riverlands is the Whispering Rain Forest, known for the constant rains that sound like hundreds of people whispering.
In the southernmost region is the Golden Hills, located near Goldspire. The Black Hills runs from the Southreach Keep to Phoolan.

The Summerlands are known for their intricate statues. Many artisans train in the Summerlands.
History[]
In 300 SM, the Five Great Lands were created.
The Massacre at Goldspire happened in 481 SM. Morvan Osmont, the Lord Protector of the Kingdom of Valley Pines, had his men assassinate the members of House Thoren and instilled House Ashmire as the new Lord Protector of the Summerlands. Lord Bryce Thoren, Lady Popeaila Naidu, and their children Cleophilia, Roland, Symon, and Alice were all believed to have perished. The massacre happened in Goldspire, the capital city in the Summerlands. Gloriana Thoren was in Maryere, the Mountain Realm, at the time and survived. This event was the immediate cause for the Single King's War.
